Vacancy resident ECVCN (European college of veterinary and comparative nutrition) - horse and small animals

We are looking for a veterinarian with a minimum of one year clinical experience and with broad clinical interest. The aim is to follow the standard residency program full time during 3 years and to sit the college (European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition) board exam at the end of this period. The resident will get a scholarship during this 3 year period. The programme starts end of September 2022.
You will become the contact person for the equine service (https://www.orsami.be/nl/dierenvoeding-paarden). The focus will be on clinical nutritional advice for equines. Most nutritional advices are requested by veterinarians in practice and are in cooperation with the clinics at the veterinary faculty of Ghent University. The resident will be responsible for the formulation of the dietary advices and the follow up of the patients afterwards. You will also be part of a rotation system for the advices for dogs and cats. Apart from this clinical part, the resident will also have to perform a (clinical) research part and will take part in the education of last year students. Internal and external presentations on several nutritional topics will have to be given. You will also take part in the permanence of the nutritional service for urgent nutritional requests based on a rotation schedule.
