Incomplete fusion of the humeral condyle

An incomplete fusion of the humeral condyle is a condition that does not occur very often, but when it does, it mainly affects Spaniels.

The presence of an incomplete fusion makes the elbow more susceptible to fracture.

This condition is often missed on X-rays. In many cases, a CT scan is needed to make the diagnosis. Arthroscopy can also confirm the presence of the fissure.
