Why a proper feeding regimen is essential

A correctly formulated ration helps prevent health problems and optimize performance:

✅ Healthy horses stay in top condition and maintain a healthy weight. This prevents disorders such as colic and OCD (Osteochondrosis Dissecans).
✅ Sport horses need a balanced diet to perform optimally. Depending on the discipline and training level, the energy source (carbohydrates vs. fats) can be strategically adjusted and supplements can be added to the ration.
✅ Horses with specific disorders often benefit from a customized ration as part of their treatment plan.

Methodology

1. Basic consultation equine nutrition

Every request starts with a basic consultation on equine nutrition. This consultation is necessary if you would like personalised nutritional advice or a feeding plan.

Duration: max. 40 minutes
Form: physical consultation or online
Price: € 40 (€ 48,40 incl. VAT)

During the consultation:

• we discuss your horse's current nutritional situation
• we answer specific questions about nutrition
• together, we determine whether and what type of nutritional advice will be provided

👉 General advice and practical tips are possible during this consultation, but a detailed nutrition plan requires additional analysis (see extensions below).

2. Possible extensions after the consultation

🔹Extension A – Nutritional advice without evaluation of current diet + € 55 (+ € 66,55 incl. VAT)

✅​ Personalised nutritional advice with specific recommendations
🚨 No in-depth evaluation of the current ration

Total price (consultation + extension A): € 95 (€ 114,95 incl. VAT)

🔹Extension B – Comprehensive nutritional advice with evaluation + € 90 (+ € 108,90 incl. VAT)

✅ Thorough evaluation of the current ration
✅ Comprehensive and substantiated nutritional advice
✅ Coordination with the referring vet (if desired)

Total price (consultation + extension B): € 130 (€ 157,30 incl. VAT)

Preparing for the consultation

Please prepare the following (if possible):

° 📸 Clear photos of your horse, the pasture and the forage
° 📏 Measurements of chest circumference and body length
° 🔎 An estimate of the body condition score
° 📝 Labels of all feed materials used
° ⚖️ The exact weight of all feed materials, including roughage (hay/silage), in kilograms (no scoop measures)

If desired, the information form can be completed together during the consultation.

Follow-up consultation (optional) > € 40 (€ 48,40 incl. VAT)
Max. 40 minutes, without any additional written work afterwards.
