Knee

Arthroscopy of the knee joint is mainly used to diagnose a (partial) rupture of the cruciate ligaments, tears in the menisci and cartilage injuries. These structures cannot be visualised radiographically and injuries often require direct arthroscopic inspection in order to reach a definitive diagnosis.

OCD in the knee joint is a rare finding. Arthroscopic treatment is relatively simple. As with the treatment of OCD in the shoulder or elbow, this procedure is minimally invasive and the patient can go home the same day.
